STRUCTURE (cấu trúc)
1. Để hỏi về màu sắc, chúng ta dùng mẫu câu :
What colour + be + Noun ?
Câu trả lời: Noun / Pronoun + be + adjective of colour.
e.g.: What colour is your pen? (Cây viết của bạn màu gì?)
It’s blue. (Nó màu xanh dương.)
What colour are her eyes? (Mắt của cô ấy màu gì?)
They’re black. (Chúng màu đen.)
2. Câu hỏi chọn lựa (“OR” questions): có dạng như câu hỏi YES - NO với từ “OR” trong câu.
e.g.: Are you a student or a teacher? (Anh là sinh viên hay giáo viên?)
- I’m a student. (Tôi là sinh viên.)
Is he at school or at home? (Anh ấy ở nhà hay ở trường?)
- He’s at home. (Anh ấy ở tại trường.)
- No. He’s at his parents’ house. (Không. Anh ấy ở nhà cha mẹ anh ấy.)
3. Thứ tự của tính từ (Order of adjectives).
Khi một danh từ có nhiều tính từ bổ nghĩa, các tính từ thường theo thứ tự sau: chất lượng (quality) => kích cỡ (size) => hình dạng (shape) => thời gian (age) => màu sắc (colour) + ... Noun,
e.g.: She has beautiful long black hair. (Cô ấy có mái tóc đen dài đẹp.)
This is a round, old table. (Đây là cái bàn tròn cũ.)
